As I noted in a message last week, the character entity names
"umlaut", "macron", and "cedilla" that appear in the Proposed Entities
section are not the names that appear in the appendices to ISO 8879
from which all the rest of the names are derived. The names given
there are "uml", "macr", and "cedil", and the corresponding lines in
the list should read as follows:

<!ENTITY uml CDATA "¨" -- umlaut (diaresis) -->
<!ENTITY macr CDATA "¯" -- macron -->
<!ENTITY cedil CDATA "¸" -- cedilla -->
