HTML Editor Review

Task to be Solved

Surfing the Internet and browsing web pages if fun, easy and informative. Before the development of web editors, creating these pages was tedious and prone to error, requiring knowledge of the Web's internal language (HTML), addressing schemes (URL's), and a suite of converters and utility programs. Web authors were forced to use text editors which are often awkward. The new web editors attempt to make creating web pages as fun and easy as browsing through them.

A web editor is an authoring tool designed to aid users in the use of HTML to create their own web site. Web editors have been developed to meet the increasing demand of simplifying the process of creating eye-catching web pages.

Our review is intended for those relatively new to the art of designing web pages and we have critiqued the products from the standpoint of users that are not programming wizards but who do have some basic HTML programming skills. We rated the products based on how well they serve the needs of non-tecnical users who want to create or maintain content on the Web.
