I think some objections raised were addressed in subsequent discussion
and some additional interpretations were brought in about what
this means relative to SGML. Because the thread of discussion
died down I'm not sure if everyone is satisfied.
Language about ISO 10646 is still in Dan's latest draft: If people
do have problems I think it would be better to make them clear than
wait a couple of weeks and speak up again.
(I'm generally in favor of any language that at least makes it clear
that use of ISO 10646 is our "next step" in internationalizing HTML.
I'm also biased toward getting the 2.0 spec out the door.)
